QUICK ANSWER

Shopify’s inventory report can show which products sold in a date range and now sit at zero or negative stock. Report Pundit turns that check into a saved report that lists only those products and delivers it on a schedule.

Official answer

Yes. Shopify’s Inventory sold daily by product report lists quantity sold and ending quantity for each variant over a chosen date range. Any row with sales above zero and an ending quantity of zero or less sold recently and is now out of stock.

In Shopify, open Analytics, then Reports, filter the category to Inventory, and open Inventory sold daily by product. Set the date range to whatever counts as recent, such as the last 30 days. Ending quantity is the closing figure for the last day in the range and can be negative when stock was oversold. It is a daily view, not a live count.

Report Pundit has the same report in the library section of the app that returns only the matching rows. The Never Sold Products report already pairs Net Quantity Sold with Inventory Quantity, and reversing that logic gives this list:

  1. Add Product Title, Variant Title, SKU, Net Quantity Sold, and Inventory Quantity.
  2. Set the date range, for example the last 30 days.
  3. Filter Net Quantity Sold to above zero and Inventory Quantity to zero or less.
  4. Sort Net Quantity Sold from high to low so the fastest sellers sit at the top.

Adding Location Names, Product Status, and Inventory Cost shows where the stock ran out, whether the listing is still active, and what a reorder will cost. A negative Inventory Quantity usually means committed stock was oversold, so those rows deserve a check before reordering. Once saved, the report can be scheduled daily, weekly, or monthly and delivered by email, Google Sheets, or Google Drive.
