How do I see which Shopify products are in stock at a specific location?

QUICK ANSWER

Shopify tracks stock separately at each location, so a product can sit at one site while every other site holds none. Finding those products means checking every location, not just one. This answer explains how that check works and how to turn it into a saved report.

Official answer

Yes. Pick the location, keep variants with stock above zero there, and exclude any that also hold stock elsewhere. Shopify lists inventory per location, so that comparison usually happens in a spreadsheet. Report Pundit’s Inventory by Location data can be set up as a saved report that does it automatically.

In the Shopify admin, Products > Inventory shows quantities per location, and an inventory CSV export gives one row per variant per location. A product counts as exclusive to a location only when that location has stock and every other location has none. Comparing those rows by hand is the slow part.

Two details change the result:

  • Shopify separates “not stocked at this location” from “stocked with zero units.” For this question, both mean no stock, so both need to be treated as empty.
  • “In stock” can mean available or on hand. Available excludes units committed to open orders, while on hand counts every physical unit. Decide which one defines exclusivity before building the report.

Report Pundit’s Inventory by Location report is already in the library. It lists each variant once per location, with Location Name, Product Title, Variant Title, SKU, Inventory Quantity, Inventory Value, and Inventory Cost. Open it, add a filter on the inventory column, and save it. Nothing needs to be rebuilt. Once saved, the report can be scheduled by email or Google Sheets, so the list refreshes without a new export each time.
