Square Reports

Review Square-related orders and line items in Shopify with dedicated, exportable Report Pundit reports built for reconciliation, audits, and operational review.

Table of contents

Report Pundit's Square integration lets you review Square-related order and line-item data inside Shopify in dedicated, exportable reports. Merchants who run Square as a POS alongside Shopify often sync that activity into their store, where it blends into general order reports. This integration separates it out at both the order level and the item level.

Without vs with the Square integration

Without it: When Square activity is synced into Shopify, it lands alongside every other order in your reports. Shopify's built-in reports do not give you a dedicated view that isolates Square-related orders or breaks them down to the line item, so pulling out just that activity for review means filtering and rebuilding exports by hand.

With it:
Report Pundit gives you two purpose-built reports that isolate Square-related activity. One presents the order-level records with their references and values, the other breaks each order down to the line item with product and variant detail, so you can review, audit, and export Square data on its own.

Reports available

Square Orders Report: an order-level view of Square-related order records, including order references, order-level values, and export-ready fields. Use this when you want to review Square orders as whole records.

Square Line Item Report: an item-level breakdown of Square-related orders, with product and variant details, quantities, item-level values, and order references. Use this when order totals alone are not enough and you need product-level detail.

Use the orders report for a clean summary view and the line item report when you need to see what was inside each order.

FAQs

Why don't Square orders show up separately in my Shopify reports?

Shopify's built-in reports don't isolate Square-related activity into its own view. When Square data is synced into Shopify it sits alongside your other orders, so seeing only that activity means filtering manually. Report Pundit's Square reports separate it out for you.

What's the difference between the Square Orders Report and the Square Line Item Report?

The Orders Report shows Square-related activity at the order level, as whole order records. The Line Item Report breaks those same orders down to the individual product line, with variant, quantity, and item-level values. Use the line item report when order totals aren't detailed enough.

Can I export or schedule Square reports?

Yes. Both Square reports are export-ready and can be delivered to Excel, CSV, PDF, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Slack, or email, on a schedule you set
