MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It connects Report Pundit to an AI assistant so you can find and run your Shopify reports, then explore the results in a conversation without exporting a file first.
Report Pundit supports Claude and ChatGPT. Choose your AI assistant in the connection section above and follow its setup steps. Your AI account or workspace must allow custom MCP connections.
No. Copy your MCP Access URL from Report Pundit, add it as a connector or app in your AI assistant, and complete the connection. You can then ask for reports in plain language, such as “List my saved reports in Report Pundit.”
You can list saved reports, understand their fields and filters, run reports for a chosen date range, and check or cancel running report jobs. You can also search the Report Pundit Library for a suitable template and run it from your conversation.
Both assistants can create a saved report from a Report Pundit Library template. For custom fields, complex filters, formatting, or scheduled delivery, use the report designer in Report Pundit.
The available MCP tools work with Report Pundit reports. They do not edit Shopify orders, products, inventory, or customers. Creating or running a Library template may save a report in Report Pundit for future use.
Check that you completed the Connect step and that Report Pundit is available in the current chat. Copy the full MCP Access URL again if needed, including its token. If you have no saved reports yet, ask your assistant to suggest a Library template.
